Council Member - Jo Rees

I am the Policy Officer for TUC Cymru Education where I am responsible for planning, developing, organising, delivering and representing the TUC Education programme for representatives and officers in Wales.

Previously, I worked in various different roles for TUC Cymru, contributing to the organisation’s work on environment, equality and workplace learning and before joining the TUC, I worked in roles across local government, the third sector, retail and further education.

TUC Cymru has a long-standing and successful partnership with Adult Learning Wales and its predecessor organisations. I have worked closely with ALW staff who work on delivering the reps training and workplace learning programmes and recognise the unique and vital role that ALW plays in the adult education landscape in Wales, particularly in working with hard-to-reach learners and those who may not have attended any formal education since leaving school.
