Overview

You will cover the following: 1. Explore different methods of interviewing, noting the key skills and techniques important for each 2. Online/virtual interviews: What are they and how are they different? New things you need to be aware of such as background, camera position, interruptions etc. 3. Know how to prepare for an interview including: Appropriate dress; Documents to take; Prior research; Travel arrangements; Equipment set up for online interviews 4. Communicating during interviews, including: Introducing self appropriately; Body language; Answering questions relevantly using appropriate language; Questions to ask the interviewer 5. Explore different types of questions that may be asked and how to answer them, including a variety of techniques that can be used to improve the quality of your answers. If your workplace is covered by a Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) project you may be eligible for help with course fees.

Content

This is a tutor-led online 'Learning in the Workplace' session for those interested in interview techniques for job seeking. By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the confidence, techniques, and strategies needed to perform well in interviews and land their desired roles.

The course is non-accredited. Completion of this course does not result in a recognised qualification.
