Overview

This course starts with an Initial Assessment via WEST, this assessment can be undertaken throughout the academic year. This course is the first stage to a Level 2 qualification that is accepted by the vast majority of colleges and universities in Wales as an equivalent to GCSE A-C grade in Mathematics OR English Language. You will undergo a period of self study taking you to level 2 and then transfer to stage 2 which is a tutor led on-line class to prepare you for the end of course supervised assessments and exams.

Content

Course start date can vary throughout the Academic Year, any time between August 1st - 31st July. An on-line, self study that fits around your busy schedule. The course focusses on the wide range of reading, writing and verbal communication OR on the wide range of numeracy skills required to achieve the qualification.

Qualification

Completion of the WEST Assessment does not result in a recognised qualification. However you would receive a certificate of completion from us and the opportunity to progress onto a Nationally Recognised Qualification.
