Overview

Join us for a 12-week creative wet felting course where you will design and make three individual felt artworks inspired by Welsh landscapes, cultural motifs, history, symbols and your own personal interpretation of Welsh heritage.

Content

Throughout the course, you will explore different wool fibres, learn a range of wet felting techniques, and experiment with additional methods such as stitching, needle felting, embroidery and embellishments. By the end of the course, your three pieces will be joined with the work of the whole group to create a large collaborative mural, which will then be exhibited. The first session is non-practical and focuses on planning and introduction.

Qualification

Completion of the course will lead to an Agored Cymru accreditation.

What Do I Need?

Learners are required to provide their own wool/materials after the first couple of lessons. However if you have any wool please feel free to bring to the first session.
