Overview

This course will help you to know what makes a good song lyric, as well as to guide you in the production of a lyric for a song.
You will select, read, and analyse song lyrics, and make comments on such lyrics, as well as to plan and draft a lyric for a song. You will also produce a final written copy and present your lyric as a performance or as a piece of writing.

Content

Whether you have written before or have yet to get the words down on the page, this course will include exercises, prompts, inspiration and encouragement to get you going on a new writing/producing journey. This course will help you develop some of the communication skills required to write song lyrics.

This course is Accredited. Commitment of attendance is required.

What Do I Need?

This course is delivered via MS Teams. The organisation will provide an email address and a password in order to access the course. IT Support will be provided to help learners accessing the course, if needed. You will need access to a Desktop/Laptop Computer (or a Tablet), with a camera and microphone to interact with the tutor and other learners. Headphones encouraged to be used. You will need to log in prior to the start of the course (at least three days is recommended), to allow time for our IT Department to support you if needed before the course starts.
