This five-day Union Reps Stage 1 (Part B) course is the second and final module of the essential induction for new union representatives, building on the knowledge and skills gained in Part A. The course focuses on developing the practical skills needed to represent members effectively, including handling grievances, disciplinary cases, and other workplace issues. Participants will learn how to use and negotiate agreements, gain a deeper understanding of union and branch structures, and explore workplace organising and mapping techniques. The course also strengthens communication, problem-solving, and representation skills, helping reps become confident and effective advocates for members while completing their Stage 1 training. Courses are fully funded - there are no course fees for union reps from TUC affiliated unions.
