Council Member - Caroline Davies
My professional background is in Education, Human Resources and Professional Coaching. As an active lifelong learner, I am passionate about promoting equality and access to learning, and am active in helping others overcome barriers to learning, education and work.
I am currently employed with Cardiff Council, leading on and managing the Council’s Corporate Apprentice & Trainee Scheme, Work Based Learning, Employer Engagement and Work Experience Schemes - aimed at creating employment and development pathways to support young people to access careers within the Council.
Alongside this, I am an Executive and Workplace Coach, and a Continuous Improvement (LEAN) Practitioner where I have supported public, private and third sector organisations to manage and deliver change. Prior to this, I taught in Community, FE and Higher Education for many years alongside working in the Social Housing Sector delivering bespoke training and coaching programmes as a self-employed Training Consultant.
I am a Trade Union Learning Representative, a mentor for the One Million Mentor programme and a Chartered Member of the CIPD and the Institute of Leadership & Management.
