Cyswllt Dysgu Adult Learning Awards

On Tuesday July 4th, the Cyswllt Dysgu Adult Learning Awards took place in Old Colwyn, kindly hosted by TAPE Community Music and Film.

Cyswllt Dysgu is the Adult Community Learning Partnership for Conwy & Denbighshire and we are proud to be a main provider
within this partnership.

This was a truly learner-focused event, with two of our Digital Photography learners, Jenni Peters and Christine Winner, capturing many of the evening’s moments.

Members of the North region team had the pleasure of seeing both learners and tutors receive recognition of their achievements at this celebration of adult learning and awards were presented to Steffani Butler (Into work Learner), Louise Oates (Progression Learner) and the following:

Paul Ditchburn (1) - Essential Skills for Life Learner
Pauline Lacey (2) - Community Tutor
Andy Jones (3) - Preparation into Work and Voluntary Tutor

We were delighted to have the company of Scott Jenkinson as the event’s guest speaker. Scott gave another truly inspirational
and uplifting speech on the power that learning has to change lives, which resonated with all and was the thread of both this and the Wrexham event. Huge thanks go to those members of the North region team who work hard with the partners of the ACL Partnerships to co-ordinate these celebratory events - we look forward to many more!
