What is Youth Work?

Youth work works with young people aged 11 – 25 years old and supports them through this stage of life. It may help them learn about themselves, others and society. This may be through educational activities which combine enjoyment, challenge and learning. Youth workers seek to promote young people’s personal and social development and enable them to have a voice, influence and place in their communities and society as a whole.
