Overview
This course will improve your English skills in the context of finding work and communicating in the workplace. Through speaking, listening, reading and writing activities you will improve your grammar and vocabulary. We will assess your level so that you are in a group with others at a similar standard. You can enrol at any time during the year. A tutor will enable you to progress through the course and move forwards in your career path.Content
You will improve your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing through a range of work focused topics, such as:• Understanding job adverts
• Writing a CV
• Applying for a job
• Interview skills
• Time (Understanding times and rotas)
• Health (Explaining absence)
• Communicating with colleagues and customers
• Understanding payslips
• Communicating with your employer
• Vocabulary for specific workplaces
Qualification
Learners can gain nationally recognised accreditation from Agored Cymru to reflect the skills and level they have achieved. These qualifications are recognised by colleges and employers across the country.Entry Requirements
No specific entry requirements. Learners will be assessed at the start of the course and advised on the most appropriate level. The tutor will help you progress through the course according to your individual needs.Career Path
Learners can progress to higher level courses and on to further education or employment. The practical skills will prepare you for using English in a work environment and completing national vocational qualifications.What Do I Need?
