Overview

On the Level 2 course you will gain a greater understanding of:-
• The range of learning support models adopted in schools.
• The role of a learning support assistant.
• The importance of team work and confidentiality within a learning support context.
• The management of children’s behaviour.
• The importance of equal opportunity within the classroom.
• The need for observing health and safety in a school.

Are you interested in a career as a Support Assistant in the education sector? Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales is offering you the opportunity to attend and complete Agored Cymru Level 2 Introduction to Support Teaching and Learning in School.

Qualification

Agored Cymru - Level 2: Introduction to Support Teaching and Learning in School.

Entry Requirements

The ability to write at a Level 2 standard – i.e. write in paragraphs and the ability to engage fully in a level 2 course.

What Do I Need?

As this is an online course, you would need the following:
• internet access
• access to a laptop or computer with a web camera and microphone; the use of headphones might also be of benefit
• use of the Chrome web-browser where possible

Please note that our online courses require the use of Microsoft Office 365 apps and our virtual learning environment, Moodle. Once enrolled on a course with us, we provide free access to these services.
