This course runs for 48 weeks with lessons for 1 hours a week from 10:00 to 11:00 on various days of the week

OverviewThis Course starts with an Initial Assessment via WEST, this assessment can be undertaken throughout the academic year.
This course is the first stage to a Level 2 qualification that is accepted by the vast majority of colleges and universities in Wales as an equivalent to GCSE A-C grade in Mathematics OR English Language.
You will undergo a period of self study taking you to level 2 and then transfer to stage 2 which is a tutor led on-line class to prepare you for the end of course supervised assessments and exams.
ContentCourse start date can vary throughout the Academic Year any time between August 1st 2023 - 31st July 2024.

The course focusses on the wide range of reading, writing and verbal communication OR on the wide range of numeracy skills required to achieve the qualification.

QualificationCompletion of this course does not result in a recognised qualification.
However you would receive a certificate of completion from us which would be available to download from your MyAccount.

What Do I Need?As this is an online course, you would need the following:
• internet access
• access to a laptop or computer with a web camera and microphone; the use of headphones might also be of benefit
• use of the Chrome web-browser where possible
Please note that our online courses require the use of Microsoft Office 365 apps and our virtual learning environment, Moodle. Once enrolled on a course with us, we provide free access to these services.
