Overview

In the course we will explore the history of protest in Wales, focusing in this initial course on the nineteenth century with particular attention being paid to the Merthyr Rising, the Rebecca Riots and the Chartists. We'll explore the role of women too in the fight for freedom. The course will be delivered online in Welsh and is suitable for learners on intermediate (Canolradd) and advanced (Uwch) levels and fluent speakers.
