The Pink Elephant Forum

This new Learners Forum has been established in Bethesda by Heledd Williams. The intention is to raise awareness and discussion of complex topics, facing our communities and our world.

Three successful events have taken place, two in the Café ' Pay as you feel ' and one in Ogwen Hall.In January there was a film and discussion about IPP Prisoners and in April there were two events.

The first focussed on current and historical fascism and racism with representatives from anti-racism organisations from Liverpool and Swansea.  The second was a ‘Self-decolonisation workshop’ with Euros Lewis from Radio Felinfach, who has published a handbook on the topic.

It is hoped that the next events will discuss Kurdistan Revolution and unemployment in Scotland. Everyone is welcome to join the Forum, Pink Elephant, and it is hoped that it will evolve in due course to form a Branch.
