Celebrating Success at Llay Community Centre

Celebrating Success at Llay Community Centre

We always enjoy celebrating our learners learning and at a recent event at Llay Resource Centre, Wrexham, we did just that!

The event was attended by learners from our Sewing/Digital Literacy, Sugar Craft and Art courses and many of them presented their work produced as a result of the courses they've completed with us.

Apart from 'learning something new', the learners also spoke to non-learners about the wider benefits of their learning – tacking isolation and loneliness, and citizenship. Some of our learners also proudly highlighted that they donate their work to local and national charities.

The Mayor of Wrexham, Councillor Rob Walsh (pictured), attended and also presented the learners with their completion certificates.

It was a great event and tutors Theresa Murray (Sewing/Digital Literacy), Kevin McNeill (Art) and Alison Curtis (Sugar Craft) joined the learners in a toast to their achievements and to more future successes!
