Facemasks in Indoor Public Spaces: Our Guidance for Our Tutors and Our Learners

The First Minister has announced that in Wales, face masks/coverings are to be worn in indoor public spaces from Monday 14th September.

The majority of our classes take place in community venues, and in order to provide positive guidance on this from the earliest opportunity, we would advise that all Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales tutors and learners must wear face masks/coverings at all times during our face-to-face classes.

Learners are encouraged to bring their own re-usable mask to class, however, disposable masks will be made available for those who need them.

Face coverings/visors will be provided for tutors as required, prior to face-to-face delivery taking place.

With the exception of learners and tutors who are exempt from wearing face masks due to medical reasons, the wearing of face masks/coverings is now a mandatory requirement; anyone refusing to comply with this requirement would be asked to leave the class.

We are awaiting updated guidance from Welsh Government and Public Health Wales and further information will be provided on our website as it becomes available to us.
