Further to yesterday’s Welsh Government announcement that secondary schools and colleges will move to online teaching and learning from Monday 14 December, Further Education Colleges in Wales, including Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales, have come together to confirm an extended period of remote provision.
From Monday, and for the remaining week of the autumn term (until Friday 18 December), learning and teaching will move to online provision and will continue into the new year for the period Monday 4 January through to Friday 8 January.
During this time we will continue to support our most vulnerable learners based on their individual needs. This means that face-to-face teaching may continue for some groups of learners; this will be managed on a local level and your regional/delivery team will be in touch in due course to confirm arrangements.
To minimise disruption, assessments for specific qualifications that are scheduled during this time and that are deemed necessary, will continue to take place. Where possible assessments will be rescheduled; again, your regional/delivery team will provide further information.
Please be aware that the majority of our staff will be working from home at this time, however, please continue to contact us via email - [email protected] or telephone - 03300 580845.
It is currently expected that face-to-face provision will recommence from Monday 11 January. Safety measures will continue for any learners or staff should they need, in limited circumstances, to attend the classroom or office.
Thank you for your continued support during this challenging time.
Stay safe and well.
