Chief Executive Opportunity at WEA Cymru

WEA Cymru is now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive to take the new organisation forward, building on the strengths of both bodies to become an exemplar provider of adult learning. The Chief Executive, working closely with the Governing Body, will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the new organisation and ensuring it has a high profile in Wales. Leading the organisation during an exciting period of change and in the context of a challenging financial environment, the Chief Executive will need to develop innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to generate income from a variety of sources.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional track record of leadership and management in complex and multi-faceted organisations. An outstanding communicator and inspirational leader, you will demonstrate a passion for education, and for working with adult learners to help them achieve their maximum potential. With a sound knowledge of the external governmental, institutional and policy-making environments as they affect adult education, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of the educational context in Wales.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with vision, drive and enthusiasm, along with a strong commitment to our values and ethos, to shape the new organisation during this exciting time to become the lead provider of adult community and workplace learning in Wales.
