Our learners in Bangor have been working very hard creating a range of art pieces over the last few weeks led by tutor Lisa Santana Hudson. During these lessons, our learners had the opportunity to learn and develop a range of creative skills, experiment with different art mediums and produce work to be proud of.

Our North Wales Regional Manager, Sarah O’Connell Jones visited the class this week and was very impressed with the quality of the work.

Sarah said, “The group of learners were very engrossed in their work creating pencil drawings inspired by a variety of items including feathers and a miniature statue of a dog. The learners were using magnifying glasses to enable them to capture intricate details. The quality and the detail of the learners’ work was fantastic, and they should be very proud. The class also had a wonderful warm and welcoming atmosphere.”

The group also had an opportunity to visit Oriel Mon in Llangefni to view the Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize 2021 exhibition. Staff at the Oriel took the learners behind the scenes to the People’s Archive to view life drawings by Charles Tunnicliffe which was a great experience.

Our tutor Lisa Santana Hudson said, “The group have been a pleasure to teach, and I look forward to providing more art courses in the new year.”
