Pontardawe Arts Centre recently hosted a special celebration as a group of learners were awarded certificates for their involvement in a fantastic summer show production. Filled with music, singing, and dancing, the performance was a vibrant showcase of creativity, energy, and talent.

Delivered under the banner of Adult Learning Wales, the course and production were led by dedicated tutors Keith Ivett and Stevie-Ann Fraser, with valuable volunteer support from their daughter Jaimee, who assisted the learners throughout the process with passion and care.

Some learners were also supported by carers and family members, who generously offered their time and encouragement, playing an important role in the group’s success.

The success of the performance was a testament to the learners’ hard work, creativity, and teamwork. Their commitment throughout the course and confidence on stage made for a truly uplifting experience, and the celebration was a well-deserved recognition of all they had achieved.

Certificates were presented by Neath and Port Talbot CDC Julie Isaac-Evans on behalf of Swansea CDC Sam Al-Khanchi, who has played a key role in supporting the delivery of this course. Both Keith and Stevie spoke warmly of Sam’s involvement and the positive impact she has had on the group.

Sam will soon be handing over CDC (Curriculum Development Coordinator) responsibilities for this course to Julie, who is looking forward to continuing the excellent work already in place.
