Our Marketing Manager and Curriculum Delivery Development Coordinators from across the South West & Mid Wales, have recently attended a number of ‘Regional Civic Engagement Partnership Workshops’ across South West Wales.

Educational institutions across the ACL, FE and HE sectors within the Region, were invited to attend the workshops, to explore how the three sectors can work more closely together, to better meet the needs of local communities, to ensure delivery of positive civic engagement, and help to create a culture of partnership.

During the workshops, colleagues explored various strategies for effective partnership building, shared thoughts on how the sector can work more closely with the community, and engaged in interactive sessions designed to enhance collective impact.

As a result of the SW&Mid’s contribution to the events, we will join the leaders of the ten post-16 education institutions, and alongside those institutions, will have direction to design its strategic priorities, with a view to drawing down funding from Welsh Government, for projects that benefit our communities over the next three years.

Our staff have been delighted to attend these events, and look forward to further partnership working alongside the local FE and HE educational institutions, across South West Wales!
