Based on the World Health Organization’s declaration that this is a public health emergency of international concern, the UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the risk for the Coronavirus in the UK from low to moderate.

This is a rapidly evolving situation where information is being gathered and assessed daily by Public Health Wales and the UK Government.

Resources are available for our learners, and tutors and support staff which are being updated as required. These are designed to inform and help ensure that all measures are taken to minimise the spread of the virus throughout our classes and beyond.

Addysg Oedolion Cymru | Adult Learning Wales Human Resources Manager said, “As an organisation we are closely monitoring the situation and following advice based on official guidance provided by Government and Public Health Wales.”

“We realise that this will raise concerns for our learners and our staff alike. We ask all staff and learners to be vigilant and adhere to the protection and prevention advice given by Public Health Wales.”

“If any of our learners have any concerns, please direct these to the appropriate regional office. Staff should speak to their line manager or contact the HR team.”

If you have got any concerns regarding Coronavirus please adhere to the advice given by Public Health Wales or call NHS Direct Wales on 0845 46 47 or 111 Wales if available in your area.
