Learner Gareth from Treorchy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, is celebrating after successfully passing his Essential Skills Wales Level 2 Application of Number qualification with Adult Learning Wales. 

The flexible online course covers the wide range of numeracy skills required to achieve the Level 2 qualification, which is equivalent to GCSE A-C grade in Mathematics. This qualification is widely recognised by colleges, universities and employers from across Wales. Throughout the course, Gareth had access to Jim Short, a specialist tutor in the subject area, who offered support during his learning journey. 

Gareth who really valued the course and the learning experience with Adult Learning Wales said:

“Thank you for the opportunity to do this course – I didn’t realise how much I’ve enjoyed it until it’s now finished. I have also really enjoyed being taught by tutor Jim Short, he is a brilliant teacher who was always willing and eager to help throughout the course.
